TRANSPORTER I

TRANSPORTER I
Performance and installation
Duration: 8 hours
Digital photocamera, printer, displays
Gallery box2, Hannover 2004
Photos: Lotte Lindner & Till Steinbrenner
A little shop just beside the gallery exhists for 50 years nearly unchanged. Mr. Polakowski is still his owner. We decided to realize a transport of his interiors into the gallery via an USB-cable. During the performance we took photos in the shop while windows had been closed with paper against the public. The digital camera had been plugged to a cable that connected shop and gallery through the wall. In the gallery stood a printer.
There, all photos we took were printed out immediately. We tucked them into displays on the wall reconstructing the shelfs in the shop.We sold photos at 10,- € plus the price of the item in the midle on it. Who bought a photo could walk into the shop during the week and fetch the article on the photo and get the photo signed by Mr. Polakowski.
