The exhibition space seems to be neutral, the "White Cube" invulnerable. We are looking for a week point and start to examine.
After years of exhibiting layers of wall paint have deposited on the walls of the Kunstverein Hannover. These coats document former shows and wall paintings that previously dominated the room in different times. In between we find layers of cleaning and neutralizing with white paint. Memory of endless shows and a preferably neutral vessel for them. With a sanding machine we penetrate the coats. Like a sonar we scan the different surfaces. We reveal and erode history.
